Veteran Guards Christian Flag At City's Memorial
The city council of King, N.C., decided last month to remove the flag from a war memorial after a resident complained and city leaders got letters from the ACLU and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State urging them to remove it. That decision incensed veterans groups and churches, so an Air Force veteran launched a round-the-clock vigil to guard it.
